Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Paro Airport & Transfer to Thimphu

Welcome to Bhutan! Our licensed Bhutanese guide will greet you at Paro Airport or Phuentsholing border desk. Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive along the Paro Chhu and Thimphu Chhu rivers to Thimphu. Visit Tachogang Lhakhang iron chain bridge en route.

Day 2: Full Day Exploration of Thimphu

Visit the massive Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking Thimphu valley, National Memorial Chorten, Simply Bhutan Living Museum, and the Takin Preserve. Evening visit to Tashichho Dzong fortress.

Day 3: Thimphu to Paro & Cultural Sights

Drive back to Paro valley. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum of Bhutan) and Rinpung Dzong. Try traditional Bhutanese archery and dress up in Kira & Gho for photographs.

Day 4: Hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest)

Hike up to the legendary Tiger's Nest Monastery perched on a cliff 900 meters above Paro valley floor. Evening relaxing Bhutanese herbal hot stone bath.

Day 5: Departure from Paro

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport or Phuentsholing border for your onward journey.
